FESTIVAL OF SAILS BUSHFIRE APPEAL

Lives, possessions, wildlife and environment has been lost in one of the worst bushfire seasons on record. Whilst we’ve seen the worst of nature, we’ve seen the best of humanity as Australia has put our collective arms around those affected.

Geelong Connected Communities is proud to have brought together three of our corporate partners to support communities devastated by the current bushfire crisis gripping our country.  AWA Alliance Bank, Harwood Andrews and the Royal Geelong Yacht Club have joined forces to launch the ‘Festival of Sails’ bushfire appeal with matched donations to support the people and communities who’ve been impacted.

Together we have established this appeal with 100% of donated funds going directly to those in need via the Salvation Army’s National Bushfire Disaster Appeal. All donations are tax deductible. All funds raised will be used in a range of locally identified charitable areas to provide relief and recovery in the fire affected areas.

A specific Bushfire Donations Account has been established into which AWA Alliance Bank, Harwood Andrews, and the Royal Geelong Yacht Club will match donations dollar for dollar up to $27,500. We are hoping to raise more than $60,000.  Donations can be made up until 11.59 pm on Monday Jan 27 and the amount raised will be announced at the conclusion of the Festival of Sails.

To donate, we ask that you deposit funds directly into the established appeal bank account using the following details:

BSB:       803136
A/C:       100029770
A/C Name: AWA Bushfire Donation

Please use your name as a reference on the transaction so that you can be provided with tax receipt if required.

As a friend of Geelong Connected Communities, and on behalf of all partners in this initiative, we thank you for your support.

Geelong Connected Communities is grateful for the support of all the organisations we work with to deliver our programs and help KEEP GEELONG STRONG.
